How many guests does the barn hold?
We provide 132 chairs and tables for 120+ wedding party. Table layout is entirely up to you. Seating can be split between the barn and deck. We can provide pictures of different layout styles to help with setup.
How many events do you book per weekend?
We book one event per weekend. Our goal is to provide a space where you can slow down and enjoy your wedding from setup to reception.
Can alcohol be served on the property?
Yes. Alcohol is allowed to be served. If you plan to serve alcohol at your event you will need to acquire a Host Liquor Liability Insurance policy with August Hill as the insured. These policies are affordable and easily obtained through your local insurance agent or www.wedsafe.com. We also require a TAMS certified bartender. We can provide contact information for all of our approved bartenders.
Will there be staff onsite?
Yes. One or more August Hill staff member will be onsite in case we are needed.
Can we feed the horses?
We are fortunate enough to have beautiful horses in the field next door to our property. You can look but we ask that you don't touch or feed the horses.
Can we have candles in the barn?
We ask that you do not have any open flame inside the barn or on the deck.
Do you do one day rentals?
We can do select one day events but only during week days.
What are the cleanup guidelines?
BARN
Clients and caterers are responsible for clearing and undressing all tables and linens put in provided laundry bags. All trash and service items such as cups, bottles, napkins, etc.. must be bagged and placed in bins. All items brought by the client, including service items and decorations must be bagged for disposal or loaded and removed. Everything you brought in must be removed or bagged.
GUESTHOUSE
Expected Cleanup of of the guesthouse includes removal of any items brought in by clients. All trash must be bagged and placed in bins. Any non disposable dishes, cutlery, and cookware is to be washed, dried and put back in place. We ask that hard floor surfaces be swept and carpet vacuumed. All used bath and dish towels are to be placed in hampers.
Any lost and found or forgotten items will be held for 7 days after notification.
